Here's the pattern:

CO 30 stitches
Row 1: *K3, P3 repeat from * to end. Knit the knits and purl the purls until the scarf measures about 5'2". Then add fringe. I use a deck of cards. Use 3 pieces of yarn to make one piece of fringe.
